Title VII--INDIAN, NATIVE HAWAIIAN, AND ALASKA NATIVE EDUCATION
 
PART A--INDIAN EDUCATION
 
PURPOSE--It is the purpose of this...to support the efforts of local educational agencies, Indian tribes and organizations,...to meet the unique educational and culturally related academic needs of American Indian and Alaska Native students, so that such students can meet the same challenging State student academic achievement standards as all other students are expected to meet.
 
Title VII's mission is to promote student achievement and preparation for global competitiveness by fostering eductional excellence and ensuring equal access.
 
For a Skiatook Public School student (Pre-3 through twelfth grade, including Alt. Ed. and Virtual School students) to be enrolled on the Title VII (506), the student must have a CDIB and/or a tribal membership card in his/her own name OR the child's parent must have a CDIB card and/or a tribal membership card OR the child's grandparent must have a CDIB and/or a tribal membership card.   The CDIB and/or tribal membership card MUST be issued by a federally recognized tribe.  The required Title VII (506) enrollment form must be filled out and returned, with supporting documentation, to:
